The Hungarian incumbent Magyar Telekom now has over 400,000 subscribers for its IPTV and Interactive Sat TV (satellite) services.
It is also expanding its programming offer. Since the end of January, digital cable and IPTV subscribers have been able to receive Sport2 HD, Eurosport 2 HD and MTV Live HD, with the latter two channels featuring Bundesliga matches and world famous light music concerts respectively.
Furthermore, HBO Pak subscribers can now also track HBO Go contents, for no additional fee, providing they have the adequate internet connection.
As of February 4, it is also making the entertainment channel Fox, from Fox International Channels (FIC), available on its digital TV services.
Significantly, Magyar Telekom is the first company in Hungary to carry the channel.
The telco also says it will soon be adding Paramount Channel to its line-up, as well as adding to the content available on its Moziklub (FilmClub) service.
