Russia’s leading DTH platform Tricolor TV has decided to drop the controversial channel Dohzd (‘Rain’) from its offer on February 10.
According to the company, this follows a meeting of its board of directors in which a number of members questioned the politics of Dohzd.
The board then unanimously agreed to withdraw Dohzd from Tricolor TV’s Optimum, Maximum HD and Gold Card packages, citing a “mismatch of editorial policy principles”.
Dohzd caused outrage late last month by questioning the siege of Leningrad in World War 2.
Since then, a number of platforms have decided to withdraw the channel from their offers.
