ADB has released a new cloud-based multiscreen system for connected devices.
CloudHDS is targeted the OTT space, enabling new and existing entrants to deliver both over the top and broadcast content through a suitable gateway.
The company says the solution is able to bridge the gap between linear TV and broadband. “ADB believes it is important to offer multimedia service providers a comprehensive range of advanced, multi-screen delivery options, making it easier for them to choose the most appropriate technology for their needs. We have taken a new approach to cloud multi-screen and designed CloudHDS to offer broadcast as well as OTT content, which we believe gives our solution the edge in this market,” said Peter Balchin, CEO at ADB.
This solution is targeted at any multimedia service provider requiring an OTT play, including: traditional content providers who want to integrate with existing TV services; OTT content providers; and content producers who want to reach end users directly.
Future versions of CloudHDS will also support Graphyne, ADB’s next generation user experience.
