According to the channel, all its products – digital or otherwise – within this structure are at the heart of its strategy. The core focus is the user experience, as announced by Euronews’ CEO Michael Peters at the world press conference in October 2012.
As part of the move, Damien Marchi has joined Euronews to head its new Product Marketing and Innovation Department. He will also sit on Euronews’ Management Committee.
Marchi will in particular focus on the redesign of Euronews’ YouTube channels; its mobile applications for iPhone, iPad and Android; and of its smart TV services, radio and websites.
He will also oversee the strategic content and technology partnerships that Euronews manages around the world.
