The Registered Digital Institute (RDI) has entered into a new and exclusive partnership with Freeview.
It includes a trademark licensing agreement which has been developed so that RDI members can benefit from cross-promotional and marketing opportunities through sharing such as logos and brand association.
Through the agreement, any RDI-approved installer or engineer can apply to use the Freeview logo, provided they agree to the brand guidelines.
Commenting on the partnership, Guy North, marketing communications director at Freeview, said: “We are looking forward to working closely with the RDI to ensure that consumers can get peace of mind about their aerial installations. By having only RDI-approved members sign up to this partnership, we are confident that consumers will be getting a high quality of service when they choose Freeview-accredited engineers or installers.”
Beverley Smith Jagger, CMO at the RDI, added: “I am delighted at today’s announcement. As an institute one of our main aims is to ensure that our members are connected to leading industry partners who give our members access to relevant services to help promote, develop and grow new business. This is a great step forward in our plans to build closer links with market leaders to benefit the digital industry as a whole. We very much look forward to working with Freeview”.
Freeview was launched in 2002 and is currently received in over 20 million homes in the UK, with almost 11 million watching it on their main TV sets.
