Lithuania had 681,400 pay-TV subscribers at the end of the third quarter, according to the latest data published by the country’s Communications Regulatory Authority (RRT).
This was equivalent to 54.8% of all households, with the total being 1.2% higher than three months earlier.
Revenues from pay-TV services in the third quarter meanwhile amounted to LTL46.90 million (13.39 million), or 1.4% more than in the previous quarter.
As of September 30 the number of cable homes in Lithuania stood at 404,000 (+0.1% q-o-q)) and MMDS 16,900 (-3.7%), with the total revenues from the services they received amounting to LTL22.84 million (+2% q-o-q).
The total number of digital TV subscribers was 375,600, or 55.1% of all pay-TV viewers.
Of these, 115,100 were cable or MMDS, 97,400 IPTV, 89,500 DTH and 73,600 pay-DTT. The total number of pay-TV subscribers grew by 3.4% in Q3 and 183% over the year.
Digital pay-TV revenues in Q3 amounted to LTL31.6 million, or 1.6% more than the previous quarter.
