The Polish DTT multiplex MUX-1 is now expected to be launched at the end of this year or beginning of 2012 and to be fully up and running in time for next year’s Euro 2012 football championships.
Furthermore, according to Rzeczpospolita, it could include a HD channel from the public broadcaster TVP.
The agreed channel line up of the multiplex is currently TVP’s three main channels TVP1, TVP2 and TVP Info, along with the new stations Eska TV, ATM Rozrywka TV, UTV and Polo TV, the latter having recently taken the place of Kino Polska Nostalgia.
The new channels will launch at different times, with the last to make its debut expected to be ATM Rozrywka TV, and all have to sign an agreement with Emitel, which has secured the licence to operate the multiplex.
Poland’s second and third multiplexes were launched in late 2010 and ASO has been set for the end of July 2013.
