Price moves to Ericsson

IP&TV WORLD FORUM – LONDON. David Price, one of the most recognisable executives at Harmonic, has moved to rival Ericsson, where he becomes a vice president, business development. San Francisco-based Price will concentrate on compression systems.

Price had been at Harmonic for 12 years, most recently as Vice President, Business Development and Marketing Communication, prior to which he held senior positions at both TV/COM International and Hughes Network Systems. Following last November’s management reshuffle in the wake of Omneon’s acquisition by Harmonic, Price moved to concentrate on his business development work.

In between Price has found time to contribute to the MPEGIF group, where he is vice president and treasurer. Ericsson this week became the MPEGIF’s newest member.
