The Polish public broadcaster TVP is planning a big push into new media this year.
Speaking to Gazeta Prawna, Pawel Paluch, TVP’s director of sales and marketing, said that it would make more programming available on its portal iTVP.pl.
TVP also plans to launch no fewer than five thematic channels this year. Aside from TVP Dokument (documentaries), they will dedicated to movies, female viewers, kids and archive material.
Although product placement currently accounts for 10% of TVP’s sponsorship revenues, Paluch said he expects the figure to rise to 20-30% this year.
TVP is also looking for a partner to help develop its internet sales activities.
