Virgin Media has announced the appointment of Nigel Gilbert as chief marketing officer.Most recently Gilbert was group marketing director and member of the retail board for the Lloyds Banking Group. Prior to that he was Chairman and CEO of Asia Pacific and Global Account Director for marketing agency Lowe Worldwide.
“Nigel brings with him a wealth of experience and we are delighted to have an executive of his considerable calibre join our senior management team,” commented Andrew Barron, chief operating officer, Virgin Media.
Gilbert will step into the newly created role in January.
