The Polish cable operator Multimedia Polska had 112,000 subscribers to its digital cable and IPTV services as of the end of June, a 20% increase on the same period last year.
Its RGU total at the end of June stood at 1.27 million, representing a year-on-year increase of 77,000. It also had 312,000 double and 93,000 triple customers, or 11% and 18% more respectively than a year earlier. Churn in Multimedia Polska’s TV services was 0.74% in Q2, down from 0.89% a year earlier.
The company’s revenues in Q2 amounted to PLN140.5 million (€35.3 million), a year-on-year increase of 9%, while EBITDA was up by 17% to PLN73.5 million and net profit by 16% to PLN15.8 million.
Speaking to the local press, Multimedia Polska’s president Andrzej Rogowski said it was now in a position to buy Aster, the country’s fourth largest cableco, as well as smaller operators.
