A new pay-TV platform has been established by Tvinci for broadcasters and operators looking to monetise over-the-top delivered video content.
The turnkey solution is designed to provide a consistent, personalized pay video experience across multiple devices. This includes the PC, Mac, connected TV, set-top boxes, games consoles, smart phones, and the already obligatory iPad.
Tivinci’s platform has already been picked up by Projector TV, a UK based initiative for cultural online entertainment owned by Hollywood studio Future Films Group, for the launch of the new version of its video portal.
“We believe that now, as a result of internet TV’s expansion into the living room and onto an increasing number of devices, the time is right for pay-OTT video content,” said Yonatan Sela, VP marketing, Tvinci. “Current paid content initiatives are constructive for testing the various business models and the responsiveness of the audience, but they have only provided a preview of the new ways in which people will consume a significant amount of their content. This future for paid content is made possible through the Tvinci platform, and we are currently seeing innovative operators around the world beginning to implement these new services.”
Tvinci’s platform is based on its Tvinci MediaHub(back-end) and Tvinci MediaStore (front-end) systems that are designed to fit any cross-device OTT requirements.
The Tvinci MediaHub is the core of Tvinci’s platform, used for the management of video content, business rules and users on any internet device. The Tvinci MediaStore is the consumer interface for Tvinci’s Pay-OTT video platform, designed to offer each user the videos that he or she is most likely to purchase.
