The Spanish premium DTT channel Gol TV has attained its first million subscribers across all platforms in just over three months of operation.
According to its operator Mediapro, premium DTT accounted for 150,000, or around 15%, of the total, while cable platforms (Ono, Euskatel, Telecable, Group R Aotec and ISEC) claimed a further 16%.
However, IPTV (Imagenio, Orange, Telecom and Jazztel Andorra) accounted for the majority (60%) of subscribers and mobile phones (Movistar, Vodafone and Orange) the remaining 9%. Growth was particularly noticeable in the premium DTT and mobile phone sectors.
To date, Gol TV has claimed a maximum audience share of 4.45%.
