Jyri Ratia is to become the new CEO of PlusTV. The former Swelcom executive will take control of Finland’s pay-DTT operation in January.
Former CEO Vesa Mars stepped aside from daily operations with the acquisition of the company by Sweden’s Boxer in June, but has continued as an advisor. Daan Olivier, the head of Boxer’s international operations, took over as interim CEO.
“I am very happy that the new CEO of PlusTV is a pay-tv professional like Jyri, who has the experience and the right kind of vision to develop PlusTV’s business, says Crister Fritzson, CEO of Teracom Group and chairman of the Board of PlusTV.
37-year old Ratia had previously been in charge of the TV business, sales and marketing activities at Swelcom’s cable brand Welho.
