Towercom has fulfilled the first of a series of conditions to become the operator of Slovakia’s new DTT platform.
According to the Slovak Telecom Office (TU SR), it has received a payment of €600,200 for reserving frequencies on Multiplex 1 and €2,000,200 for those on Multiplex 2, along with a further payment of €1,00,200 for Multiplex 1 required within 14 days of the permits becoming valid on September 23.
Towercom won a DTT tender a month ago and is set to launch a platform, initially covering 79.7% of the population, at the end of this year.
