UPC outlines Romanian HD plans

upc_corner_night_2UPC will introduce HD services in Romania in the first half of October.

Quoted in ZF, Andrew Kearney, VP marketing of UPC Holding, said that the operator would initially distribute 10 channels in the format in the 32 cities in which its networks have been upgraded to offer digital TV services.

The channels will only be available to subscribers who have DVRs.

Further details will be provided by UPC on September 29.
