The Dutch IPTV provider Tele 2 will launch HD as part of its re-vamped IPTV services some time next year. The company is currently upgrading its DSL service to higher speeds and at the same time will improve its television offer.
Tele 2 also wants to make its television service more personal and hopes to fully exploit the possibilities of IPTV, a spokesperson told the Dutch press.
At the moment, Tele 2 is also one of the parties interested in becoming a reseller of the analogue cable product. The Dutch telco regulator OPTA will decide on the conditions for access to Dutch cable networks in a few months time.
