Towercom plans to launch the first commercial DTT multiplex in Slovakia early next year.
Quoting the company’s chairman Roman Fischer, Medialne adds that Towercom will simulcast right up to ASO in 2012 and use both MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 compression.
Towercom won the licence to operate three DTT multiplexes in Slovakia last Friday (August 14) following a second tender.
The first tender was cancelled in controversial circumstances late last year.
