The DTH platform Skylink has reached a new landmark, claiming a combined total of over 700,000 subscribers in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
According to Digizone, the majority of these (500,000) are in the Czech Republic, while CS Link, a rival platform that uses the same orbital position (23.5 degrees East), now has just over 350,000 subscribers in the Czech Republic.
There are currently four DTH platforms in the Czech Republic – Skylink, CS Link, UPC Direct and Digi TV.
Although the same services can be received in Slovakia, CS Link does not publish figures for its platform as it does not officially operate in the country.
