Virgin Media has signed with Universal Pictures to take its subscription video on demand service PictureBox from later this month.
Several hundred titles will be available to Virgin’s 3.6 million TV subscribers for a £5 per month fee. The library of recent and classic titles includes The Bourne Ultimatum, The Holiday, Children of Men, Scarface and E.T. 28 films are available at any one time with seven of the movies being refreshed each Friday.
PictureBox launched in the UK three years ago and is already available through BT Vision, Top Up TV and Tiscali.
