Up to ten staff face losing their jobs with the closure of ITV’s Future Technologies department.
The ten are believed to include Simon Fell, ITV’s director of Future Technologies, and the man behind the launch of HD, mobile and online services at the commercial broadcaster. Fell joined ITV in 1991 from Carlton Television, having previously worked for Rushes Post Production and Channel 4.
A spokeswoman for ITV plc told Broadband TV News the broadcaster could not discuss individuals, and was unable to offer comment until the consultation concluded on June 5, when final decisions would be made for all departments across the company.
