BT Vision added just 25,000 new homes on the quarter, the lowest figure since the commercial launch of the IPTV platform in December 2006.
BT said the total number of subscribers as of March 31, 2009 stood at 423,000. 90% of customers took out a subscription package at the point of sale.
Customers typically undertook 30 video views per month.
Despite the slowdown, BT Vision has made a significant contribution to revenues within BT’s Consumer division, which along with broadband was able to partly offset a 7% decline in revenue from calls and lines.
