The Dutch IPTV provider Tele2 Vision has added SBS gemist, the Catch-up TV service from the commercial broadcaster. Viewers will be able to demand programmes from SBS6, Net 5 and Veronica up to ten days after the original broadcast.
SBS Gemist is already available on the entire Ziggo network and Tele2 is the second provider in the country to offer the service. Both Tele2 and Ziggo also offer Uitzending Gemist from the Dutch public broadcasters. However, UPC only offers the public catch-up TV service.
It is expected that RTL will also announce distribution deals for its catch-up service RTL Gemist. At the moment, the VOD service is only available on the Lijbrandt cable network, a small FttH operation, on a pilot basis.
