German receiver manufacturer Technisat Digital is to supply high definition digital satellite receivers for the Freesat platform. It is the first major UK platform win for the company, which has an R&D facility in Milton Keynes, in addition to facilities in Poland and Germany.
“Working with Freesat is an excellent opportunity to offer a premium brand product for Freesat services and to introduce the TechniSat brand to consumers in the UK,” said Peter Etherington, TechniSat Digital UK’s strategic marketing manager.
Freesat’s other manufacturers include the Alba Group, Humax and Panasonic.
