Mediaset Premium maintains growth

Revenues at Mediaset Premium rose by 89% in the first nine months of 2008. Total revenues of €269.5 million compared with €142.8 million for the same period in 2007.
As of September 30, the total number of active cards stood at 2.5 million, 900,000 more than the DTT pay service had at the same point last year.
Earlier this month it emerged that rival Telecom Italia was selling its DTT pay operation to the Swedish Airplus group.
In a statement, Mediaset said it was working to position itself within the current economic climate, while the company is continuing to keep costs under control Mediaset Premium has maintained both revenue increases subscriber growth during October.
