Com Hem has become the latest cablenet to launch a mobile broadband service. The Swedish operator is collaborating with 3 to offer mobile broadband to its 1.5 million subscriber households.
Customers will be able to choose both fixed and mobile broadband directly from Com Hem.
“It feels incredibly inspiring and exciting to launch a collaboration with 3, which is Sweden’s leading mobile broadband operator. There is a strong demand from our customers able to bring broadband to the recreation hall or on the go, so this cooperation is very timely,” says Tomas Franzén, CEO of Com Hem.
“We are very pleased to cooperate with Com Hem. We are two companies that complement each other well, we only have mobile solutions, Com Hem is the leader in TV and broadband via cable. Furthermore, we have common competitors,” added 3 Scandinavia CEO Peder Ramel.
Com Hem will handle sales, marketing and customer services for the joint products that will be marketed under both companies’ brands.
Already similar services have been launched by Virgin Media in the UK and Portugal’s ZON.
