The German cable operator PrimaCom today said it will deploy Motorola/Kreatel hybrid IPTV set-top boxes in its networks. The companies already work together on IPTV projects in the Leipziger Messe and the Congress Center Leipzig.
The Motorola boxes run on a special Linux version. “The goal of this cooperation is to better address the demands from the fast changing cable market and to force the deployment of IPTV in this distribution medium,” the company said in a press release.
