The incumbent Slovenian telco Telekom Slovenije is reported to have lost an appeal against a ruling by the country’s anti-trust body (CPO) that it abused its dominant position in the broadband Internet market. The ruling, dating back to 2004, was made following a complaint by the alternative carrier Amis, formerly known as Medinet, which claimed that the incumbent charged it more than its own Internet subsidiary SiOL for access to its ADSL network. Although Telekom Slovenije cannot appeal against the ruling, it is expected to take further legal steps.
