The Broadcasting Press Guild is launching its annual search for the Best Multichannel Programme as part of its Annual Television and Radio Awards.
This year’s event is the 34th to be organised by the Guild and is being sponsored by Turner Broadcasting System Europe, the home of CNN International, Cartoon Network and TCM. It will be held on April 4, 2008 at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, London.
The purpose of the multichannel award is to recognise a production that would fit seamlessly in to the schedules of one of the big five terrestrial channels. One nomination is allowed per channel along with a short explanation of the programme and the commissioning process.
The closing date for entries is February 21, 2008.
In 2007 the Multichannel Award was given to Terry Pratchett’s Hogfather (The Mob Film Company for Sky One and RHI).
The Broadcasting Press Guild is an association of journalists who specialise in writing and broadcasting about television, radio and the media generally.
Entries should be addressed to
