One of the longest-established niche channels in Central and Eastern Europe will celebrate its 10th anniversary tomorrow (February 2). Part of the CME-backed Pro TV group of stations, Acasa TV is aimed at a mostly female audience but has seen is viewing figures rise rapidly and at times even exceed those of mainstream channels. Interviewed in the local press, Ruxandra Ion, Acasa’s MD and channel and content strategist for CME, said that the channel has adapted to fit its target audience and is regarded as a strategic partner by content producers. Acasa TV claimed an all-day audience share of 12.4% among women aged 15-49 living in urban areas in the period August 2001 – December 2007.
