Boost for Bulgarian DTT

Bulgaria has taken an important step in the transition from analogue to digital broadcasting, with its parliament approving the DVB-T standard. The Communications Regulation Commission (CRC) will now prepare for the award of three digital licences each in six cities including the capital, Sofia, later this year. Analogue switch off in Bulgaria is set for 2012.
