Russia’s Comstar-UTS says that it has started to build a WiMAX network in Armenia. Working through the ISP Cornet, which is part of the Comstar group, the Sistema-backed company will be able to offer high-speed Internet access, multimedia content delivery, VoIP, data transmission and the capability of creating virtual private networks (VPNs). Earlier this week Comstar-UTS also announced that it has signed an agreement with Skylinkm a mobile broadband Internet and voice services provider present throughout Russia.
