Turner Broadcasting System has confirmed the satellite launch of Nuts TV, its men’s entertainment channel, run in association with IPC Media. The channel, previously restricted to DTT, will extend its broadcast hours to commence at 19.00 and will run through until 03.00 the following morning.
In addition to live programming, broadcast from a studio purpose-built by Enteraction TV, Nuts TV has established a multi-platform distribution strategy through partnerships with YouTube and Bebo. An extensive advertising campaign to promote the channel will break in mid-February with outdoor, press and in-pub activity.
In November, Casey Harwood Senior Vice President, Digital Media, at Turner Broadcasting System Europe, told the Broadcasting Press Guild of plans to take the channel format into Continental Europe.
