Online video service Joost plans to get inside your TV. According to the new CEO Mike Volpi the company has started talks with hardware manufacturers to have Joost software included in digital TV sets to make for easy access to the service. The company is also targeting manufacturers of other devices such as set-top boxes, mobile TV handsets and PVRs.
At the moment many of the fledgling internet TV services are planning to connect to regular TV sets. Apple was one of the first to launch such a device in the form of Apple TV. Sony has also presented its plans to include streaming and on-demand web TV in its Bravia series.
