According to figures announced by the Serbian Telecommunications Agency (RATEL), the country’s telecom market was worth more than €6 billion in 2006. Its total revenues amounted to €1.3 billion, or 4% more than the previous year, with the majority being provided by mobile (48.85%) and fixed telephony (34.70%). However, those from cable TV and ADSL services showed strong growth. The number receiving broadband services was meanwhile 121,600, or almost three times the total of 40,500 at the end of 2006. Cable TV services were received in 541,900 homes.
