Tom Barnett is the Director of Partner Engineering for Prime Video at Amazon.
His London- and Beijing-based teams are responsible for ensuring a great streaming experience for customers across consumer electronic devices from major brands around the world. They support Prime Video on thousands of products including smart TVs, streaming media players, game consoles, and MVPD pay TV operator set-top boxes. Partner Engineering provides a porting kit for Linux integrations, binary apps for platforms like Android TV and Apple TV, a certification test suite, a partner portal, and tools for integration with platform features such as integrated billing and federated search and discovery.
Prior to his role in Prime Video, Tom was a Principal Product Manager in Amazon Lab126 in Sunnyvale California, where he led the definition of the range of Fire tablets. He holds an MBA from Cleveland State University, and is the proud rescue-dad of a Westie/Schnauzer mix named Cali.
