DNA is making its Welho TV channel packages available to customers over Finland’s terrestrial network.
The acquisition of cable business Welho helped fuel DNA’s fixed line network in 2010.
The consolidation of Finnish cableco Welho into DNA boosted the communications provider by 8.4% as the company reported third quarter net sales of €181 million.
The Finnish Council of state has confirmed that DNA’s purchase of the Welho cable business will have no effect on the telco’s licences.
Sanoma Entertainment has agreed to sell the Finnish cableco Welho to the DNA telecommunications group. As part of the transaction, DNA will launch a share issue that will enable Sanoma to become the second largest shareholder in DNA with a holding of 21%.

AETN UK says it has signed an agreement to distribute History HD on the Welho platform in Finland from next Tuesday (September 1).
