Deutsche Telekom is considering the takeover of German regional cable network operator Tele Columbus in a bid to strengthen its domestic market position against cable rivals Kabel Deutschland and Liberty Global, reports Reuters.
Kabel Deutschland (KDG) is considering a takeover of its smaller rival Tele Columbus, according to German media reports.
German cablenet Tele Columbus has attracted the attentions of a new financial investor. Quoting people familiar with the matter, Reuters said the investor was known to the cable industry, but was unable to name the party. BC Partners, CVC and EQT, which all follow the European cable sector, are not thought to be interested.
