SPI International-backed Kino Polska TV has acquired an additional 9.08% stake in Stopklataka, the operator of the film and series-based channel Stopklatka TV, for PLN7.1 million (€1.64 million).
SPI subsidiary Kino Polska TV has acquired 41% of shares in Stopklatka from Agora.
The Polish media group Agora plans to exit the country’s DTT market with the sale of its stake in Stopklatka.
Poland’s National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) has extended the licence held by TVN’s satellite TV channel TVN International West for another 10 years.
The Polish broadcaster Stopklatka, which is jointly owned by Agora and Kino Polska, has broken even.
