North America to continue to add pay-TV subs

Despite all of the talk about cord-cutting, a new report from Digital TV Research states that the number of pay-TV subscribers in North America will continue to increase – albeit at a slow rate. However, the Digital TV North America report states that pay TV penetration will remain flat.

Satellite leads the Lat Am pay TV charge

After a slow start, digital TV penetration is about to rocket in Latin America – from less than a third of homes at end-2012 to nearly 45% by end-2013 and onto 84% by 2018, according to a new report from Digital TV Research.

Asia Pacific’s pay TV boom to continue

Pay TV revenues in Asia Pacific will be $12 billion higher in 2018 ($43.9 billion total) than in 2012, according to a new report from Digital TV Research. In fact, the Digital TV Asia Pacific report estimates that pay TV revenues (subscriptions and on-demand) will grow by $2.1 billion in 2013 to $33.9 billion.

‘Money Drop’ is Europe’s most valuable format

DTV penetration accelerates in Sub-Saharan Africa

Online ad spend to reach $143 billion by 2017

Global online advertising revenues will reach $143 billion (€112.6 billion) in 2017, according to a new report from Digital TV Research. The Online Advertising Forecasts report estimates that the 2017 total is more than double the $66 billion recorded in 2010 and considerably up from the $92 billion predicted for 2012.
