ARD to leave Eutelsat Hotbird

German public broadcaster ARD will terminate the distribution of its main TV channel Das Erste on Eutelsat’s Hotbird satellite system at 13° East on March 31, 2017.

ARD and ZDF leave Hot Bird for World Cup

German public broadcasters ARD and ZDF have removed their main channels from Eutelsat’s Hot Bird satellite system at 13 degrees East due to rights restrictions regarding the FIFA Football World Cup 2014.
