The Kudelski Group has announced the closure of its subsequent offer period on its tender for OpenTV.
The battle for middleware company OpenTV has entered its final stages with the Kudelski Group announcing it had secured the 60% of Class A shares it did not already own.
Kudelski Group’s $1.55 per share offer for OpenTV was under pressure on Tuesday after the Swiss technology company announced it was extending the deadline for acceptances by six days to November 12, 2009.
The Kudelski Group has openly criticised a letter written by OpenTV investor Arcadia Capital Advisors in which the company described the Swiss technology company’s bid as being “too low”.
