A pioneering pay-TV service once seen as one of the most progressive in Russia can now not even find a buyer.
President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree authorising the sale of the 50% stake in Kosmos-TV currently held by the Russian Television and Radio Broadcasting Network (RTRS).
Russia’s longest established pay-TV company – Kosmos TV, which provided MMDS services in Moscow and environs – has closed after over 20 years.
The Moscow-based MMDS operator Kosmos TV has found itself in a dispute over the launch of 4G services in the city.
