Proton failure delays Astra 2E launch

Successful launch for Intelsat 23

Successful launch for SES-5

The SES-5 satellite roared into space on board an ILS Proton Breeze M. After a 9-hour, 12-minute mission, the Breeze M upper stage of the Proton rocket successfully released the SES-5 satellite directly into geostationary transfer orbit.

YahSat 1b launch set for April 24

Yahsat 1b is set to launch on April 24 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. The launch was postponed twice; the original launch was scheduled last February.

Successful launch for SES-4
