ZDF selects Eutelsat for Ultra HD showcase

Mediaset launches three HD channels on Hotbird

Elettronica Industriale, a subsidiary of the Italian group Mediaset, has signed a multi-year capacity agreement with Eutelsat to launch Canale 5, Italia 1 and Rete 4 in HD.

ZDF leaves Eutelsat Hotbird

German public broadcaster ZDF has terminated its distribution on Eutelsat’s Hotbird satellite system at 13° East at the end of 2017, a ZDF spokeswoman confirmed to Broadband TV News.

SRG Switzerland remains on Hotbird
