Penthouse launches three HD channels
Mipcom 2009 – Cannes. Penthouse is scheduled to launch no less than three HD channels in Europe on October 5, 2009, the first day of Mipcom. The channels will broadcast from the Eutelsat Eurobird 9A at 9 degrees East.
Noorsat increases Eutelsat capacity
Eutelsat has announced the signature of a multi-year contract with Noorsat, an operator of satellite services in the Middle East, for the lease of three additional transponders on Eutelsat’s Atlantic Bird 4A satellite.
DTH platform for Georgia at 36 degrees East
Georgia will get its first digital satellite TV platform on Eutelsat’s video neighbourhood at 36 degrees East. Due for launch by the end of 2009, it will comprise Georgia’s two public channels: GPB TV and Adjara,
ILS to launch Eutelsat W7 satellite
Eutelsat has announced that it has signed a contract with International Launch Services (ILS) for the launch in mid-November 2009 of the W7 satellite on an ILS Proton. Originally, the satellite was scheduled for launch by Sea Launch.
Eutelsat Kabelkiosk shows hybrid portal
IFA 2009 – BERLIN. Eutelsat Kabelkiosk will show hybrid receivers with web access at this year’s consumer electronics show in Berlin. Viewers will be able to request clips and programmes on demand on an interactive Kabelkiosk portal.
