The winners of the Deutsche Telekom Interactive TV Award 2009 have been announced.The Jury selected the best ideas for the future TV: broad|Support with the customisable Bundesliga application Meine Konferenz and the interactive docu soap The Cell from Tel Aviv based Gum Films.
During a press conference at the CeBIT in Hanover, Deutsche Telekom said it is targeting between 2.5 million to 3 million customers for its IPTV offer ‘T-Entertain’ by the end of 2011.
Deutsche Telekom has warned that Germany is reaching market saturation. Announcing year-end subscriber numbers to its T-Entertain IPTV service of 852,000, the company said that against a background of strong market penetration, market growth would begin to slow.
