Orange buys into Dailymotion

Orange has begun exclusive negotiations with Dailymotion, taking a 49% share in the ‘French YouTube’ at a cost of €58.8 million, which could ultimately lead to complete ownership.

Dailymotion opens catch-up TV section

The French online video portal Dailymotion has opened a new section dedicated to catch-up TV from major French broadcasters. Just opened last week, the Franco-German cultural channel Arte has joined and will make available its entire Arte+7 catch-up service.

Dailymotion adds 50,000 videos from INA

The French online video portal Dailymotion has renewed its contract with the French audiovisual institute INA, giving it access to a further 50,000 videos from the institute’s archive. The deal includes all French newscasts from 1971.
