Swiss telecommunications company Sunrise is apparently in advanced talks to buy Liberty Global’s cable business in Switzerland, UPC.

The consolidation in Germany’s cable market continues: Tele Columbus, the third largest market player, has entered into an agreement to acquire the fourth largest cable operator Pepcom from UK-based financial investor Star Capital.
Kicking off a new consolidation round in Germany’s cable market, Tele Columbus, the third largest German cable operator, has entered into an agreement to acquire Primacom, the fourth largest market player, for €711 million.
German cable operator Tele Columbus has taken over several smaller operators and cable networks in April and May 2015, thereby adding a total of more than 30,000 households in Eastern Germany and federal state Lower Saxony to its customer base.
