Telekom Austria has completed the acquisition of Croatia’s leading cable operator B.net through its local subsidiary Vipnet.
Telekom Austria has acquired Croatia’s leading cable operator B.net through its local subsidiary Vipnet for €93 million. It currently has a subscriber base of 119,000 customers and claims a 22% share of Croatia’s pay-TV market and 7% of its fixed broadband sector.
Austria’s BEWAG Group, the owner of Croatia’s leading cable operator B.net, has signed a landmark agreement with the investment fund Mid Europa Partners (MEP). In effect from today (December 1), it sees B.net take over the operations of Total TV, the DTH platform owned by MEP, in Croatia.
B.net has declared itself the first fully profitable alternative telco in Croatia.
